Facebook Lite launched recently, and currently only for those in India and the USA. (however I am based in the UK and had no problems accessing the site).
Aimed at those who have slower internet connections, the site is a slim downed version of the usual Facebook with noticeable differences being the loss of the applications bar and the left side menu. Check out some shots below of the lighter feeling Facebook.
